Offering A Hand Up
Reborn Assistance is there to provide assistance to clients with a safe, structured, supervised environment, as well as employment counseling, job placement, financial management assistance, and other programs and services. Reborn Assistance helps clients gradually rebuild their ties to the community and facilitate supervising ex felons’ activities during this readjustment phase.In-house counts are conducted throughout the day at scheduled and random intervals. The client is only authorized to leave Reborn Assistance through sign-out procedures for approved activities, such as seeking employment, working, counseling, visiting friends and/or family, or recreation purposes. In addition, when the client returns they may be given a random drug and alcohol test.Reborn Assistance staff, assists clients in obtaining employment through a network of local employers, employment job fairs, and training classes in resume writing, interview techniques, etc. Ordinarily, offenders are expected to be employed 40 hours/week within 21 calendar days after their arrival at Reborn Assistance. During their stay, clients are required to pay a fee to help defray the cost of their stay at Reborn Assistance. Reborn Assistance may assists clients in locating suitable housing (if necessary), when a client has completed the program. During a client’s stay at Reborn Assistance, management will have constant contact with the client’s parole/probation office to better help them stay informed with the client’s progress while in the program.
